Meet Scamp, a 3 year old Terrier mix
Meet Scamp, a 3 year old Terrier mix. Per his foster family:
We found him wandering around Lake County and he very willingly came right up to us asking for a home. He has lived with us for about a month and no one has claimed him. The veterinarian estimated his age to be 3 years old. He doesn't appear to have had any obedience training but the little we have worked with him, he is very eager to learn and would excel in training courses with anyone willing to put in the effort.
He loves human company and is at times curious and playful with other dogs though generally he ignores them. He is very polite on leash, we have been taking him on our group walks and he walks nicely and has displayed no problem behaviors in public. When we first brought him home I was concerned that he would always be a risk for running away but as he has warmed up to us I have come to trust him off leash on our fully fenced property as he follows us to and from the house and outdoor play areas. When he first meets people he is not shy, he wants to be with them though he is insecure about having hands reach out to him and shies away from being picked up until he really knows he can trust you. He is a wonderful dog, he figured out where to go to the bathroom very quickly and is extremely easy to get along with. He does not have separation anxiety but he is the type of dog who would get very used to having a person around 24/7 if he was allowed to.
